Dr. Tackenberg and Dr. Julie Pendergast participate in World Circadian Day r/science AMA

To commemorate World Circadian Day 2026, chronobiology societies across the world hosted a round-the-clock AMA on Reddit’s r/science. During the slot hosted by the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms (SRBR), Dr. Tackenberg and Dr. Julie Pendergast (also of University of Kentucky) fielded circadian questions along with Drs. Joanna Chiu, current president of SRBR and professor & chair of the UC Davis Department of Entomology and Nematology, Erik Herzog, past president of SRBR and professor at Washington University in St. Louis, Horacio de la Iglesia, past president of SRBR and professor at University of Washington, and Emily Manoogian, clinical researcher at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Other participating societies included the Australasian Chronobiology Society, the Indian Society for Chronobiology, and the Canadian Society for Chronobiology.
