At the 2026 meeting of the Society for Research on Biological Rhythms (SRBR), Dr. Tackenberg received a Junior Faculty Award, along with Dr. Filipa Rijo-Ferreira (UC Berkley). Previous recipients of this prestigious honor include Drs. Carrie Partch (UC Santa Cruz), Fumika Hamada (UC Davis), Maria Robles (LMU München), Jennifer Hurley (RPI), Tiffany Schmidt (Northwestern), and Christine Merlin (Texas A&M).
At the meeting, Dr. Tackenberg hosted a Trainee Day session on getting started in circadian biology research, featuring Drs. Bill Schwartz (UT Austin Dell Medical School) and Roelof Hut (University of Groningen) discussing their new, freely-available introductory textbook, On the Essential Principles and Practice of Circadian Biology: A Road Map.
